Treatment Modalities

Medical Detox

Medical Detox is a process that involves the use of medication and medical supervision to help individuals with substance use disorders safely withdraw from drugs or alcohol. The goal of medical detox is to safely alleviate the physical symptoms of withdrawal, such as nausea, tremors, and seizures, and make the detox process as comfortable as possible. Medical detox is typically the first step in the treatment of substance use disorders and is followed by behavioral therapy and other forms of addiction treatment. A safe monitored medical detox is part of a comprehensive treatment plan and unique care-model at Matthew’s Hope.

Iasis

Iasis Microcurrent Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free technology that utilizes microcurrent electrical impulses to stimulate the brain and improve brain function. It is based on the principle of neuroplasticity, which is the brain’s ability to adapt and change in response to external stimuli. Iasis Microcurrent Neurofeedback is used to promote healing for a wide range of conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD, traumatic brain injury and substance use disorders. The treatment is typically performed in a series of sessions, and it aims to re-balance the brain’s electrical activity and improve communication between different regions of the brain. It is believed that this can lead to improvements in cognitive function, mood and overall well-being. Iasis is an essential element of the Matthew’s Hope detox and recovery program care-model.

Counseling

Counseling is an essential part of substance use disorder treatment. It addresses the underlying psychological and emotional issues that contribute to addiction. Our counselors at Matthew’s Hope help individuals develop the skills and strategies to maintain recovery. It can take many forms, such as individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. It can also be done in conjunction with other forms of treatment, such as medical detox, Iasis, and recovery coaching. Aftercare & Recovery Support

Peer recovery support for substance use disorders is a widely used approach that focuses on the interpersonal, spiritual, and psychological aspects of addiction recovery. At Matthew’s Hope Detox and Recovery Program our Recovery Support Specialists help individuals with substance use disorders navigate the process of long-term recovery. Our Recovery Support Team works with the individual to set and achieve goals, develop a plan for maintaining sobriety, and identify and overcome obstacles that may arise during the recovery process. Recovery support specialists act as a guide, mentor, and advocate for the individual, providing emotional support and encouragement along the way and may also provide practical assistance such as helping the person to access resources such as nutrition, physical health, employment, or legal services. Recovery Support can be done in conjunction with other forms of treatment such as counseling, continued Iasis, and 12-step recovery programs.
