Benefits of Care Model at Matthew’s Hope Detox and Recovery Program

At Matthew’s Hope Detox and Recovery Program, we work to support clients as they become sober through medical detox, counseling, neurotherapy, and extensive recovery support. We also provide family counseling and education to help engage families in the process.

What is Our Care Model?

When you first arrive at our hospital-based detox center, experienced staff members will evaluate your substance use habits, blood panels, co-occurring disorders, brain function, and family history. After we have finished the intake process, we will create an individualized treatment plan with evidence-based techniques. Unlike some other programs, we offer a multitude of recovery modalities, so you can get the most effective treatment for your unique healing needs.

Over the years, scientists have learned that anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addiction, and anxiety are closely connected to each other. When you rebalance brain chemistry and repair damaged neuropathways for one problem, you are helping the other issues as well. Our program is intended to heal the addiction-damaged parts of your body and brain.

As part of our care model, you can discover the following programs and features.

  • 10-Day to 14-Day Detox Plus: Your treatment will typically begin with safe medical detox. During this stage of our care model, we provide medical supervision and medications to alleviate withdrawal symptoms. Once you have safely navigated the withdrawal process, you are able to begin the next stage of your treatment.
  • Advanced Neurofeedback: Daily neurofeedback is an important tool for retraining your mind and supporting your healing process. Our advanced neurofeedback helps to calm the nervous system. As a result, you are able to engage with our treatment program more effectively and get more out of your experience.
  • Family Engagement: Our goal is to immediately engage you and your family in the recovery process. This means we carry out daily individual sessions and weekly family education groups. There are also three staff-led group sessions available.
  • Provider Collaborations: After you leave the detox center, the recovery process isn’t over. Staying sober is a lifelong commitment, so you need long-term support. We provide next-level collaboration with providers, so you can get strategic support during your recovery.
  • Two-Year Recovery Plans: Many people struggle with relapsing right after treatment is over. Because of this, our recovery support teams are involved for two years after your treatment ends. During this time, we take a holistic approach to spiritual, occupational, physical, family, and nutritional support.

What Kind of Treatment Programs Are Available?

You can experience our care model benefits in a variety of modalities. As part of our treatment model, you will undergo medical detox, counseling, IASIS advanced neurofeedback therapy, and aftercare to support your recovery.

At Matthew’s Hope Foundation Intensive Outpatient Program, we treat:

  • Alcohol addiction
  • Benzodiazepine addiction
  • Cocaine addiction
  • Heroin addiction
  • Methamphetamine addiction
  • Opiate & Opioid addiction (Heroin, Methadone, Suboxone, and other narcotic pain medication)
  • Prescription drug addiction
  • Synthetic drug addiction

Once treatment is complete, a recovery home setting can provide a stepped-down transition back to your normal life.

What Makes Us Different From Other Care Models?

With other care models, you don’t get the same depth of support. For example, our 10-day to 14-day detox is significantly longer than the 3-to-5-day models offered by other centers. Many treatment centers also offer minimal family and client engagement. Additionally, since we are hospital-based, we are also able to treat other medical issues that may be co-occurring with addiction.

While the science connecting mental disorders and substance use is quite clear, many other providers won’t address neurological issues during your treatment as we do. Likewise, they won’t provide continuum of care collaboration and post-discharge support. Because relapses can only happen after you leave a supervised setting, this means other rehabs don’t support clients when they are at their most vulnerable point. We do! We offer continued Iasis neurofeedback, a relapse prevention app and individualized recovery coaching for up to 24 months post-discharge.
